The digestive process begins in the mouth, where the teeth grind food. The masticated food, which is the bolus is swallowed, and into the stomach through the esophagus. In the stomach, the gastric juice dissolves certain foods, such as conjunctive fibers, and unfolded protein into simpler substances. The movements of the stomach makes the food mass, which is called chyme, passes into the intestine. Already here, the chyme is subjected to the action of three juice, duodenal, pancreatic and bladder, which makes it a very fluid substance called chyle. Villi that line the walls of the small intestine absorb food substances contained in the chyle. Nondigestible debris are expelled as feces.
