Global warming is an increase in temperature of the Earth resulting from the greenhouse effect. The latter phenomenon is due to the presence of certain gases in the atmosphere, like the glass of a greenhouse, absorbing part of the infrared radiation from the Sun that reaches Earth. This radiation does not return to space, but returns to the earth's surface. The warming increases in proportion to the radiation is retained by soft masses. As they increase due to human action, radiation and, consequently, the heat continues to grow.
The increase in global temperature could cause melting of polar ice caps would cause extensive flooding in coastal regions.
Scientists believe that climate changes are recorded to deep mid-century due to global warming.
