This politician, statesman, ideologist and poet, was born into a peasant family in 1893. was a founder of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), established in Shanghai in 1921. in 1923 he allied with the Kuomintang, political group that had overthrown the Manchu dynasty and established the Republic of China.
