Friedrich Nietzsche was a German philosopher who revolutionized Western thought. Born in October 1844 in Saxony, Prussia, and died with his mental faculties severely impaired in Weimar in August 1900. he studied at the universities of Bonn and Leipzig and later professor of philology and philosophy in Basel, Switzerland. He became a great admirer of his compatriot Arthur Schopenhauer and was a close friend of Richard Wagner, who ended up distancing due to chauvinistic views and anti-Semitism of the musician. In 1872 he wrote the first of his works, The Birth of Tragedy. The continued Human, All Too Human (1878) Thus Spoke Zarathustra (published in four parts between 1883 and 1885), Beyond Good and Evil (1886), On the Genealogy of Morals (1887), Twilight of the Gods (1888), The Antichrist (1888), Ecco Homo (1889) and The Will to Power (posthumous work, published in 1901).

Why Nietzsche is linked to Adolf Hitler?

This linkage is derived mainly from the misrepresentation of his work done by his sister Isabel, with whom he lived during his later years when he had lost his mind. Isabel, widow of Bernhard Förster, a nationalist who killed himself exalted in 1889, adapted and distorted the work of thinkers to assimilate the ideas of her husband.

With his famous phrase "God is dead" Nietzsche referred to the loss of life of the traditional value system. He called this system of slave morality, the masses who underwent conformists. Also contrasted to that of Mr moral, Superman own independent, individualistic and, with its passions restrained by reason, acted as a creator of new values.
