What are microwaves?

Microwaves are electromagnetic waves of very high frequency, ie with a very large number of vibrations per second. The length of these waves ranges between 30 inches and a millimeter. Are generated by a magnetron. Microwaves are used to transmit high-speed telegraph signals and to communicate the satellites and space probes to Earth's seasons. They are also used as radar, generators and amplifiers. Moreover, given a very commonly used throughout the operation of the microwave, cooking and heating food quickly. The microwaves agitate water molecules contained in food and able to vibrate at high speed, resulting in an increase in temperature produces cooking.

Astronomers discovered microwave would have been generated by a molten rock from which the universe was formed.

The magnetron was invented by scientists Randall and Boot in 1941.

The microwaves were initially studied by scientist Heinrich Hertz (1857-1894).
